1. General Information

· This website is operated by Ghecko Ridge Wedding and Function Centre CC, located at 70, Gecko Ridge Road, Mooiplaats, Gauteng, South Africa.

· These Terms govern the use of our website, all venue and accommodation bookings, and services offered by us.

· We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Venue Bookings

· All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation in writing.

· A booking can only be confirmed once the required booking fee has been received.

· By paying the booking fee, the client automatically accepts and agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions as set out by the Venue.

· Provisional bookings will only be held for 48 Hours, after which the date may be released if not confirmed.

3. Payments and Booking Fee

· A non-refundable booking fee as per the quotation or pro forma is required to secure a booking.

· The balance of all amounts due must be paid according to the payment schedule in the Function Agreement / Pro Forma Statement and the full balance paid up no later than 3 weeks prior to the event date.

· Failure to make payment on time may result in cancellation of the booking.

· All payments are to be made via EFT. Card Payments will incur an Administration Fee.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

· Booking fees are strictly non-refundable.

· Cancellations made more than 6 Months before the event will forfeit the booking fee.

· Cancellations made less than 6 Months before the event will incur additional cancellation fees as outlined in the function agreement.

· Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 10 business days.

5. Venue Use

· The Venue must be used solely for weddings and functions, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

· Any religious, spiritual, or cultural rituals/practices not pre-approved in writing by the Venue are not permitted.

· The client is responsible for ensuring that guests, suppliers, and service providers adhere to venue rules.

· Noise levels must comply with municipal by-laws and must cease by midnight.

6. Catering and Beverages

· All catering must be arranged through the Venue.

· No outside liquor may be brought onto the premises, except for the “Farmhouse” section, where guests may supply their own alcohol.

· Alcohol service is subject to South African liquor laws and the Venue’s liquor license.

· The Venue reserves the right to confiscate or remove any unapproved alcohol brought onto the property and may impose a fine to the client responsible for the guests.

7. On-Site Accommodation

· The Venue offers accommodation facilities that can be booked separately from the event package.

· Accommodation bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed with a booking fee.

· Check-in is from 14h00 and check-out is by 09h00. Early check-in or late check-out must be arranged and approved in advance and may incur additional charges.

· Guests are responsible for their own belongings. The Venue will not be held liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal property.

· Any damages caused to accommodation facilities will be charged to the guest or main client.

· No smoking is allowed inside accommodation units. Designated smoking areas are provided.

8. Liability and Insurance

· The Venue will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or property during the use of the Venue or accommodation facilities.

· The client is responsible for any damage caused by themselves, guests, or suppliers.

9. Force Majeure

· The Venue shall not be held liable for any failure to host an event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, load shedding, or strikes.

· In such cases, the Venue will work with the client to reschedule the event where possible.

10. Website Use

· All content on this website (text, images, logos) is the property of Ghecko Ridge Wedding and Function Centre CC and may not be copied or used without written permission.

· This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or policies of such sites.

11. Privacy Policy

· Personal information collected through this website will be handled in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

· Information will only be used for the purposes of communication, booking, and providing services.

12. Governing Law

· These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

· Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction of South African courts.
